Furious cruise ship passengers nearly rioted at sea after their luxury trip turned into a ‘nightmare’ of ‘stale food’ and overflowing toilets.
The £5,300-a-ticket cruise descended into near mutiny as passengers staged a massive on-board protest on the ship over the conditions.
The 2,000 tourists, including Brits, who paid for a trip of a lifetime on the two-week Norwegian Spirit tour, were instead stuck at sea for three days after the ship reportedly failed to dock.
Hundreds of passengers chanted “get us off this ship” as their cruise went on to skip its key destinations— ending up in Belfast instead of Iceland.
The irate passengers can be heard demanding to see the captain and shouting “take us back to London” in footage of the chaos aboard the luxury liner.

Norwegian Spirit refused to provide full refunds to the angry passengers, instead offering them a 25 per cent voucher.
The liner was meant to stop at France, Amsterdam, Norway and Iceland.
Instead the trip turned into a series of calamities that left passengers feeling mutinous.
The ship reportedly set off from Southampton on September 27.
First, Amsterdam was cut from the trip, which they were told was because high winds prevented the vessel from docking.
It then skipped Le Havre, and carried on to Norway.
The boat then reportedly stopped at a ‘deserted’ Norwegian town that was closed to tourists.
Next, they were meant to head to Reykjavik in Iceland. But that stop was cancelled and they continued sailing to an unplanned visit Greenock, near Glasgow.
But the cruise ship was denied permission to dock in Greenock on Monday, prompting the captain to change course for Belfast.
Passengers had by this point been stuck on the ship for three days.
They claimed to have been served stale food in the ship’s restaurants.
Frustrated customers, who reportedly included British, AMerican, and Chinese torists, staged a demonstration in the ship’s grand atrium, chanting ‘shame on you’, ‘get us off this ship’ and ‘we want refunds’.
Deena Roland, 48, from Taunton, Devon, told Mail Online : “There are a lot of angry people on this ship and the lack of adequate explanation as to what’s going on almost caused a riot this morning.
“It’s been a nightmare of a holiday, and now many of the toilets in the cabins are overflowing with sewage.
“It’s really not my idea of a luxury cruise break.’

On Monday, many passengers disembarked from the ship when it docked in Belfast, returning to London on their own.
A spokesman for Norwegian Cruise Line told the Mail Online: “Norwegian Spirit was forced to cancel her call to Greenock due to weather conditions as well as a delay caused by a departing Navy vessel that experienced a technical malfunction.”
The US-based firm refused to provide full refunds, instead offering a 25 per cent discount voucher for other cruises.
Norwegian Spirit offers 17 dining options, including a steakhouse and French and Italian restaurants, as well as bars, casinos and nightclubs, a theatre, pool and spa.
